What actually is STL? Just isolated niche in the huge building of reusable code or a launching pad from which principally new programming technique will lift off? The actual answer to that question depends on the formal approach to organization of the library. If formal approach cultivates local as well as global characteristics of the software with equal determination, then it has chance to completely change the mere nature of software development.
